OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2013. Branch of JSC “MOESK” – Western Electric Grids have completed the works on the foundations preparation for the equipment installation in the new part of 110/35/10 kV reconstructed substation “Naro-Fominsk”, reported the press-centre of MOESK.

Foundation for the building of substation control house (SCH) has been installed, where the microprocessing equipment of the relay protection and emergency controls, modern communications systems, accumulator batteries, local distribution boards and direct-current boards will be installed. The foundation is ready for two of three power transformers, each by 63 MVA. When they are installed, the substation’s capacity will increase to 189 MVA.

List of the feeding center’s future innovations is vast. Instead of 110 kV outdoor switch-gear (OSG), 110 kV indoor gas-insulated switch-gear is planned to be installed here. 35 kV factory-assembled vacuum switch-gear (FASG) will substitute 35 kV OSG.

To increase accuracy of the transmitted electric power accounting, the automated information and measuring energy metering system (AIMEMS) will find an application, and the automated process control system (APCS) will help the dispatchers to exercise a remote control of the equipment’s function.

It’s noteworthy, that the energy facility reconstruction is being made on the substation in operation, without limitation of consumers.

By the words of chief engineer of the Western Electric Grids Victor Ivanov, as a result of the feeding center renovation, the power supply reliability will be increased significantly, of more than 72 thousand of inhabitants of Naro-Fominsk town, more than 200 small and several tens of the large industrial enterprises. Besides that, the substation reconstruction will provide a possibility to connect new consumers to the grids of JSC “MOESK”.

Renovation of the substation, which was constructed in 1954, is planned to be completed towards the current year’s end.
