OREANDA-NEWS. February 1, 2013. For 12 months of 2012 the enterprises of the OJSC Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) mined 97.5 mln tons of coal. Against the similar period of the previous year increase in the volume of mining was 6 %.

2012 saw the 3% increase in the volume of sales against the similar period in the previous year and constituted 91.8 mln tons of coal. Russian consumers bought 52.9 mln tons of coal which 4% lower against the figures for the previous year, of which 40.5 mln tons were shipped to electric energy industry companies.

The volumes of cross-borders sales grew by 15 % and constituted 38.8 mln tons of coal with the export of own coal growth by 20 % and constituted 36.0 mln tons. The main directions of cross-border sales are South Korea, Great Britain, Chine, Japan, Taiwan, Poland, Israel and Germany.
