OREANDA-NEWS.  March 22, 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, adjusted to inflation it grew 4% in real terms. In the budget sector the average wage was 2997.8 leis, 5.6% up as compared with January, 2012. In the real sector it grew 9.2% to 3590.9 leis.

The lowest wage was given to fishery workers in January 2013; it made up 1850.1 leis, 20.6% up as compared with the same period of 2012. The average wages in agriculture and forestry grew 14.1% to 2025.9 leis in January, 2013. Wages in hotel and restaurant business remain low too. In this January they were close to 2517 leis (+4.8%).

The average wage in education increased 1.2% to 2736.3 leis. In trade it averaged 2956.8 leis, being the same as last January. The highest wage was paid in the banking sector of Moldova. This January it grew 12.9% to 6681.5 leis. The average wage at heat-, power- and water -supplying companies made up 5250 leis in January 2013, 10.6% up as compared with January, 2012.

The average wage in realtor companies grew 13.8% to 4412.4 leis, increasing 5.8 to 3977.6 at transportation and communications companies and 20,.2% to 4158.3 in public administration. The average wage in building companies grew 13.4% to 3466.3 leis, growing by 7.6% to 3321 leis at processing companies.
