In addition to LAN Colombia’s official entry into oneworld®, TAM Airlines, also part of LATAM Airlines Group, announced today that as of March 31, 2014, it will join oneworld, bringing all of the passenger airline affiliates of LATAM Airlines Group into the same global airline alliance.
 
Tuesday, 1 October 2013:  LAN Colombia, part of South America’s largest airline group, LATAM Airlines Group, officially joined oneworld® today offering the leading global airline alliance’s full range of services and benefits effective this morning.
 
Also today, TAM Airlines, also part of LATAM Airlines Group, announced that it will join oneworld® as of March 31, 2014. TAM’s entry into the alliance complements oneworld® with the leading carrier in Brazil, the country with the strongest demand and largest economy in the region.
 
The addition of these two airlines will establish oneworld® as the leading alliance for flights within Latin America and between the region and both the United States and Europe the most in-demand international destinations for LATAM Airlines Group passengers.
 
LAN Airlines has been a member of oneworld® since 2000.  All LAN Airlines affiliate passenger airlines have subsequently joined oneworld® as affiliate members including LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador and LAN Peru.  TAM Airlines Paraguayan affiliate will also become part of oneworld at a date to be announced at a later time.
