OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2013. Ukraine and Bulgaria are ready to give new impetus to the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The parties are ready to meet within the meeting of the Commission already in mid-December. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Kristian Vigenin.

The head of the Ukrainian Government came up with a proposal to accelerate the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission. He noted that the Commission is the tool that provides addressing several important issues for both sides.

"It should be noted that we are ready to organize on a systematic basis the work of such intergovernmental commission," Mykola Azarov emphasized.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria supported the proposal of Prime Minister of Ukraine: "I fully agree with you that most of our issues can be addressed at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission. We reaffirm our commitment to hold such a commission by the end of this year. Efficient work of the Commission can significantly strengthen our relationship in a short time," he said.

Mykola Azarov said that he ordered Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko, who is co-chairman of the commission, to make appropriate preparations to by mid-December 2013 to conduct the meeting.
