OREANDA-NEWS. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) announced today the introduction of two new daily seasonal frequencies from New York’s JFK International Airport to Santo Domingo and Santiago in Dominican Republic, available for summer 2014. The new flights will be serviced by Boeing 737-800 with a 160 seats capacity, expanding Deltaґs operation to 5 daily services between New York and the two largest cities in the Caribbean country.

“Delta’s expanded capacity provides customers with an increased variety of options to fit their travel needs,” said Maria Fernanda Price, Delta’s regional manager for the Caribbean. “We will have 5 daily flights between JFK-New York and main Dominican markets, offering great connectivity to travel to New York as well as for 30 international destinations through our new International Terminal 4 at JFK.”

The new Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport, which opened on May 24 as part of a USD 1.4 billion redevelopment project.  It offers nine new and seven renovated international gates; improved and renovated check-in areas, a dedicated Sky Priority check-in area; an enlarged and centralized security checkpoint; new retail and dining options from some of New York’s most well-known chefs; and a new, 24,000-square-foot flagship Delta Sky Club with the first-ever Sky Deck rooftop terrace.
