OREANDA-NEWS. The fourth congress of factories manufacturing special equipment took place at KAMAZ with the participation of long-time partners of the leading Russian truck maker.
The event was of great importance as the plenary meeting was opened by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ. “We have a good understanding of development prospects of the special equipment market and pay special attention to development of new models of chassis and special equipment production in general,” KAMAZ’s top manager said. “Market development shows a wider and wider use of special equipment in various sectors of the national economy and even for needs of the ministry of defense and other security, defense and law enforcement agencies.” According to Mr. Kogogin, a share of special equipment in the total number of produced and sold motor vehicles is increasing. Thereupon KAMAZ focuses on an increase in a production share of special equipment based on KAMAZ chassis. To achieve this aim, the company develops new products – models of chassis, kits, and new beneficial commercial offers.
 The results of the year 2013 coming to an end and plans for the next year 2014 were announced by German Gilfanov, Director General of KAMAZ FINANCE AND TRADING COMPANY. Ashot Arutyunyan, Director of Marketing and Advertising at OJSC KAMAZ, told about a situation in the truck market. The state of development of new kits for special equipment, design features of chassis and additional facilities for adaptation of Euro 4 chassis to special equipment manufacturers’ requirements were the subject of the report of Danis Valeev, Chief Designer of OJSC KAMAZ – Director of the Research and Development Center. Aleksandr Zakharov, Director General of OOO ZF KAMA, a joint venture of KAMAZ and the German concern Zahnrad Fabrik Friedrichshafen AG, shared the news about the companies’ achievements. Peculiarities of work under conditions of scrappage fees were disclosed in an address of Mikhail Matasov, Head of Service of Cooperation with Public Authorities at OJSC KAMAZ. Andrey Komarov, Head of Service of Internal Audit and Compliance, told about the company’s compliance policy.
Within the frameworks of the event, round table meetings were held. The spectrum of issues under discussion is wide and various; it included utilization fees, production quality, and engineering matters. The participants of the forum managed to ask questions they were interested in at a personal reception by OJSC KAMAZ’s top manager. By tradition, the participants of the convention visited production facilities of KAMAZ – they were shown the work of the mother assembly conveyor at the automobile plant, and also vehicles on the ground of the KAMAZ-master team.
