OREANDA-NEWS.   Anhui's development and life index (DLI) in 2012 took 19th place nationwide, according to National Bureau of Statistics. Statistics showed that the annual growth rate of DLI of Anhui reached 4.91% since 12th Five-Year Plan, ranking 1st in Central China.

Beijing's DLI hit 90.18% in 2012, taking 1st place nationwide,and Shanghai and Tianjin followed Beijing with 85.53% and 78.65% respectively. Anhui took 19th place with 60.09% nationwide and 4th in Central China.

It is noted that Anhui's DLI was lower than average level of Central China (60.35%), but the growth rate was relatively fast. Statistics showed that Anhui's annual growth rate hit 4.91% since 12th Five-Year Plan, ranking 1st in Central China and 8th nationwide.

In 2012, the indexes of economic development, improvement of people's livelihood, social development and ecological construction were more than 60%, but the index of innovation of science and technology was only 21.96%.

Beijing's index of innovation of science and technology was 92.65%, taking 1st place nationwide and Anhui's index of innovation of science and technology ranked 2nd in Central China, only second to Hubei. Among 6 provinces of Central China, Anhui's ecological construction index reached 68.74%, ranking 1st.
