OREANDA-NEWS. Vladimir Torchik, Head of Information and Analysis of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), made a business trip to Tbilisi (Georgia) where he participated in the Belarusian-Georgian business forum and the business program prepared by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurship.

During the forum, Vladimir Torchik presented BUCE's capabilities in the field of electronic and exchange trade in order to establish partner relations with the Georgian business community, stimulate more active use of BUCE's tools in the mutual trade between Belarus and Georgia and help promote Belarusian goods on the local market.

In addition, Vladimir Torchik held a number of talks with BUCE's foreign partners. For example, during the meeting with the administration of the Association of Employers of Georgia, the sides mapped out a whole set of measures designed to develop cooperation in market information sharing and wider involvement of Georgian economic agents in exchange trade organized by BUCE. As far as negotiations with the leadership of the Interexchange Electronic Union are concerned, the sides agreed to expand their business cooperation through implementation of joint projects and recruitment of new Armenian companies willing to trade at BUCE's trading platforms.

Conversation with Vladimir Karyagin, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurship, proved no less productive. In particular, the parties agreed on several promising areas of cooperation, such as holding international forums, workshops, round table meetings, etc. as a means of increasing the foreign trade of the Republic of Belarus.

On the whole, the visit to Georgia helped establish a lot of useful business contacts, familiarize potential clients with BUCE's operation and policies and discuss possible areas of mutual interest for the near-term perspective.
