OREANDA-NEWS. Mikhailovsky GOK (part of Metalloinvest) successfully passed an external audit of its integrated management system. The audit included a review of the quality management system (QMS) in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 international standard; of the occupational health and safety (OHS) management system in accordance with OHSAS 1800:2007; as well as the re-certification of the environmental management system (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001:2004.

The audits were carried out by experts from certificate authority TUV SUD Management Service GmbH (Germany), headed by Ulrich Krause, the lead auditor. Following the audit, compliance with ISO 90001 and OHSAS 18001 was confirmed and Mikhailovsky GOK obtained a new ISO 14001 certificate due to the expiry of the previous one. The auditors observed no deviations and made no additional comments.

Summarising their findings, the auditors noted the high level of expertise of the assessed managers and specialists in quality control, environmental protection and health and safety, as well as progress in working conditions and OHS improvements and reduction of the Company's environmental impact.

The results of the audit once again confirmed the plant's excellence in all areas - high-quality management, safe working conditions and environmental protection.
