OREANDA-NEWS. MAYKOR in partnership with the All-Russian Swimming Federation is launching a new social project to promote sport and healthy lifestyles in the Russian regions. Its program includes support for swimming competitions in Kazan, Volgograd and St. Petersburg.

The first event to receive financial support from MAYKOR is the Russian Short Course (25m) Swimming Championship, which will be held in Kazan on November 8-12, 2014, at the Aquatics Palace. One of the largest indoor sports facilities in Russia will welcome more than 500 athletes from 60 regions around the country, including medal winners from the Olympic Games and world championships. Quadruple Olympic champion Vladimir Salnikov will participate at the opening ceremony of the competition. Event organizers include, among others, the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan.

MAYKOR will also sponsor All-Russian competitions in boys and girls swimming in Volgograd as well as the V. V. Salnikov Cup in St. Petersburg. It will also support the Annual Award given by the All-Russian Swimming Federation.
