OREANDA-NEWS. Delhi’s power infrastructure is going to be upgraded with the state of the art technology sub stations. The two state-of-the-art sub stations which is being built at Pappan Kalan and Peera Garhi is to enhance the transmission and distribution of power in the national capital in a big way.

Executed by POWERGRID, one of the sub stations is being built at Pappan Kalan in Dwaraka Sector-19. The other one is the 220 KV GIS sub station is built by Delhi Transco Limited at Peera Garhi, near A Block, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. Gas-Insulated switchgear is used in this sub station. These two sub stations will be of specific benefit to West and North West Delhi.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences will lay the foundation stone for 220 KV Sub station at Pappan Kalan at 4 pm and dedicate the newly constructed 220 KV GS Substation at Peera Garhi at 5.15 pm on the 19th December 2014. Shri. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy will preside over the function. Shri. Parvesh Verma M.P. will be the Guest of Honour.
