OREANDA-NEWS. Nakama Group plc (AIM: NAK), the AIM quoted recruitment consultancy working across UK, Europe, Asia and Australia providing staff for the Web, Interactive, Digital media, IT and Business Change sectors, announces that its APAC business has started the new year with a change in its management structure.

In January 2015, Rob Sheffield, APAC MD and Board Director of Nakama Group plc assumed the CEO role for Nakama's operations in APAC.   Furthermore, from the start of this month, Josephine Garniss has been appointed MD to the Group's Singapore business, to replace Silva Fieldhouse, who has left the group to pursue a career in operations. This change has long been scheduled for 2015 and it has enabled management to spend the time necessary to identify the right person to take the business forward in 2015 and beyond.

Garniss will start as Director and MD for the Singapore business on 4 February 2015. She has over ten years experience in the recruitment space.  She spent five years at the recruitment company Hudson before moving to Talent for five years, two years of which were based in Singapore as deputy manager. Her local market knowledge and networks, leadership experience and deep understanding of recruitment for the marketing, technology and media sectors, leaves her well-placed to guide the business through its next phase of growth in Singapore and across into Malaysia.

Rob Sheffield, Nakama CEO for APAC, commented:

"One of our key priorities for leadership appointments in our business has always been to find those individuals who offer the mix of strong local knowledge and commercial experience, alongside an understanding of our culture and the way we do business. We believe Jo fits that mould perfectly and is eminently well-placed to continue the good work Silva has done over the past two years.  We warmly welcome her to Nakama APAC."
