OREANDA-NEWS. As part of the 14th International Investment Forum Sochi-2015, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee signed agreements today with Dmitry Pumpyansky, Chairman of the Pipe Metallurgical Company Board of Directors and Ivan Pushkarev, representative of Tomsk Machine-Building Technologies.

The documents were signed in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The long-term agreements provide for setting up full-scale manufacture, procurement and maintenance of import substitution products to be purchased by Gazprom in agreed amounts for years ahead.

“We introduce a new form of cooperation with manufacturers of import substitution products. They will get long-term and – what’s most important – predictable financing and a guaranteed sales market. In its turn, Gazprom will have reliable supplies of high-quality equipment at competitive prices,” said Alexey Miller.

Under the agreements signed today, Gazprom guarantees that for several years it will purchase import substitution products from Pipe Metallurgical Company and Tomsk Machine-Building Technologies (special-purpose company established on a par by Gazprom Investproject and Tomsk Vakhrushev Electromechanical Plant).

The pilot samples of these products have been successfully tested at Gazprom’s facilities for compliance with corporate and national standards as well as availability of the required technical and economic qualities. Besides, the manufacturers have the resources in place necessary for fulfilling their industrial commitments.

Some products are already 100 per cent domestically manufactured, and it is planned to bring the output of other products to at least 90 per cent, too. In future it will allow Gazprom to fully give up the purchase of similar products from foreign companies.
