On Financial Rehabilitation Measures Applied to JSC Econombank
OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Russia has approved amendments to the Plan for Participation of the State Corporation Deposit Insurance Agency (hereinafter, the Agency) in bankruptcy prevention of Joint-stock Commercial Bank of Reconstruction and Development Econombank (hereinafter, JSC Econombank, the Bank).
As a result of the bankruptcy prevention tender PJSC METCOMBANK (hereinafter, the Investor) with the most favourable bankruptcy prevention offering for the Bank has been selected.
As part of the Participation Plan the Agency is vested with the authority of a provisional administration of JSC Econombank from 9 March 2016. The powers of the Bank's shareholders related to their participation in the authorized capital, including the right to call a general shareholders' meeting, as well as the powers of its executive bodies have been suspended.
The Participation Plan stipulates acquisition by the Investor of shares in the Bank in the amount sufficient for the overall decision-making.
