OREANDA-NEWS  Khabarovsk plant for the production of polymer pipes uses 90% of domestic raw materials in production, according to the website of the government of the Khabarovsk Territory.

"After the sanctions were imposed, one of the largest enterprises in the region for the production of polymer materials almost completely switched to Russian raw materials. Khabarovsk Pipe Plant annually produces 18 thousand tons of products for the construction and repair of pipeline systems. And 90% of the raw materials used in production are domestic. The remaining 10% is accounted for by supplies from friendly countries," the report says. In Russia, the company's main suppliers have become leading petrochemical enterprises.

With reference to the director of development of the Polyplastic-DV company (part of the Polyplastic group), which owns the plant, Nikolay Sokolkov, it is reported that previously the ratio of domestic and imported raw materials was within 50/50, now it is 90/10. "Thanks to this, we have reduced logistics costs. In addition, delivery times have decreased, which allows us to launch large projects faster. In general, all the pipe products of the plant have import-substituting value. The company provides high-quality polymer pipes to the majority of strategically important objects of the gas industry and housing and communal services of the entire Far East," Sokolkov's words were quoted in the message.

Despite the sanctions, a new production line of innovative multilayer polyethylene pipes was launched at the plant in 2022. This is the sixth line for the production of polymer pipes for water and gas supply.
