OREANDA-NEWS. Senior officials and experts from the IAEA and Kazakhstan will discuss the future of nuclear power during an Expo 2017 Astana side event on 30 June.

The event, entitled «The Promise of Nuclear Power for a Better Energy Future», will feature high-level speakers exploring the outlook for nuclear power - its promises as well as its challenges - and how the IAEA and Kazakhstan cooperate in this area. The six speakers at the IAEA-organized event will each give a brief presentation, to be followed by a Q&A session with the international audience.

The side event will be moderated by Sayed Ashraf, Special Assistant to the IAEA Director General. Journalists are welcome to attend the side event.
