OREANDA-NEWS  Russia can go for a reduction in oil production, but will not be guided by the policy of the price ceiling. This was announced on December 23 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

"In the current situation, it is even possible to take risks of reducing production, rather than being guided by the sale policy regarding the price ceiling," Novak said.

According to him, today the price ceiling can be at $60, and tomorrow it can be anything.

He added that it is unacceptable for Russia to become dependent on the decisions of unfriendly countries. At the same time, Moscow will strive to find mutually acceptable approaches with counterparties.
