The United States allowed India to buy oil from Russia loaded before March 5

OREANDA-NEWS The license issued by the United States authorizing India to purchase Russian oil from tankers at sea applies only to products loaded onto them before March 5, according to the relevant document.
On February 27, the US Treasury issued a 30-day license allowing India to purchase oil from Russia on tankers at sea. According to the head of the department, Scott Bessent, the adopted measure will help ease the pressure on the global energy sector caused by the situation in the Middle East.
A document published by the US Treasury says that operations with Russian oil and petroleum products loaded onto ships are allowed no later than 12.01 eastern time on March 5 (20.01 Moscow time).
