OREANDA-NEWS. October 05, 2016. Nasdaq Production system will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) for general customer testing this Saturday, October 8, 2016. A complete list of products and systems available during the test and the full list of Saturday testing dates can be found on the Saturday Testing Policy Page.

In addition to regular testing on Saturday, October 8th, the following new functionality will be available for market participant testing:

  • Nasdaq and BX Modify Functionality of Post Only Orders
  • Tick Size Pilot

Nasdaq and BX Modify Functionality of Post Only Orders

As announced in Equity Trader Alert #2016 – 224, The Nasdaq Stock Market (“Nasdaq”) and Nasdaq BX (“BX”) will be modifying the functionality of Post Only orders. In addition, Nasdaq and BX will introduce a new “Reactive Trade-Now” option on FIX and RASHport protocols, and a new “Trade-Now” message on OUCH and FIX Lite protocols.

Tick Size Pilot

All Test Group 1 and 2 symbols that will be rolled out on Monday, October 10, 2016, will be available for testing and will be assigned to their designated Test Group. For information on the rollout schedule, see Nasdaq’s list here and FINRA’s consolidated schedule here.

Additionally, the following Test Group 3 symbols will be available for testing:

Firms must register for Saturday testing by contacting Nasdaq Trading Services by 12:00 p.m. (ET), on the Wednesday prior to the Saturday test in which they would like to participate. The 2016 Saturday Test schedule can be found on the Saturday Testing Policy Page.

The Nasdaq Testing Facility (NTF) is available on a daily basis and includes the above referenced enhancements. The NTF allows firms to test their automated systems that integrate with Nasdaq's services.
