OREANDA-NEWS The Belgian brewing concern Anheuser-Busch InBev has decided to sell its stake in the Russian brewing company AB InBev Efes. It is negotiating with a Turkish partner — Anadolu Efes. At the same time, the company intends to revoke the license for the production of Bud beer in Russia, it follows from the company's release.

In addition, Anheuser-Busch InBev announced that it is bringing the Ukrainian beer brand Chernigivske to the markets of Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Austria and other countries. All proceeds from the sale of Ukrainian beer will be used to provide humanitarian assistance.

In addition to Bud, the Belgian company produces beer in Russia under the brands Klinskoe, Sibirskaya Corona, Stella Artois, Lowenbrau, Brahma, Staropramen, Hoegaarden, Tolstyak, Bagbier.

Earlier it was reported that Carlsberg Group, which announced its departure from Russia, may sell the Baltika brewing company to AB InBev Efes, which intends to remain on the Russian market and has the competence to manage a business of this scale. Such a deal can be agreed with antimonopoly restrictions. In 2020, Baltika and AB InBev Efes occupied 27% and 30% of the Russian beer market, respectively.
