OREANDA-NEWS. The French company Michelin, which produces a guide to the best restaurants in the world, has suspended its activities on the recommendation of establishments in Russia. This was reported on March 4 on the company's website.

"Given the severity of the current crisis, the Michelin Guide team has been forced to make the decision to suspend all restaurant recommendation activities in Russia," the statement said.

Thus, the update of the gastronomic guide will be frozen in Russia. However, the company emphasized that this decision does not call into question the professionalism of Russian chefs.

On October 14, the ceremony of presenting Michelin stars to restaurants and cafes of the city took place in Moscow. One Michelin star was awarded to seven establishments: Selfie, Beluga, White Rabbit, Grand Cru, Biologie and others.

Earlier that day, it became known that the American company Intel had suspended deliveries of products to its customers in Russia and Belarus due to the situation in Ukraine.

The day before, on Thursday, March 3, it became known that the Swedish company IKEA is suspending its activities in Russia and Belarus.
