OREANDA-NEWS  Russian exports of cat and dog food in the first five months of 2026, excluding data from the EAEU countries, reached a record in May, increasing by 33 percent, to 42 thousand tons in physical terms, and by one and a half times, to 101 million dollars in monetary terms. This is reported by the federal center "Agroexport" with reference to expert data.

The previous record for the cost of supplying domestic pet food abroad was recorded during this period in 2022, amounting to about $ 82 million.

The largest buyers of this type of Russian products are Belarus and Kazakhstan, which together account for more than 80 percent of exports (64 and 22 million dollars, respectively).

It is also noted that in 2026, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were active importers of Russian feed, and supplies to Serbia accelerated sharply, becoming stable (120 tons in January-May of this year against 15 tons for the whole of last year).

Earlier, Agroexport predicted that exports of Russian cat and dog food would exceed 200,000 tons by 2030.
