OREANDA-NEWS The Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, as well as the Samara Region, will become the first regions for the delivery of goods by drones in the Russian Federation, but Moscow and the Moscow Region have great potential in this direction, NTI shared their opinion with RIA Novosti.

"About 500 thousand UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles - ed.) can be involved in unmanned cargo delivery by 2030. First of all, aerologistics will be developed in remote, hard—to-reach regions - the NAO, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, as well as the Samara Region, where, within the framework of the EPR, work is already actively underway to develop technologies for aerologistics... It's time for the capital region to open projects following the example of other regions," said Alexey Khripunov, General Director of the Aeroscript Research Center, participant of the Aeronet Research Institute, whose words were brought to the NTI.

The EPR - the experimental legal regime "Aerologistics" - was established by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers at the end of 2023 and involves the integration of drones into the common airspace with manned vessels.
