OREANDA-NEWS  Three more unmanned Kamaz trucks have started transporting cargo along the M-11 Moscow—St. Petersburg highway, a total of six such vehicles are now on the route, the press service of the automaker told RIA Novosti.

"Three more have been released since the first of July, as we promised. Now there are six unmanned vehicles on the highway," the company said.

As explained in KAMAZ, five cars carry out commercial cargo transportation, the sixth one works out technical algorithms to improve the quality of work.
For the first time, unmanned Kamaz trucks appeared on the M-11 on June 14.

Transportation is carried out within the framework of the experimental legal regime (EPR) program, the Ministry of Transport clarified. According to the requirements set out in the EPR program, unmanned vehicles that have passed the safety compliance assessment conducted by the testing laboratory of FSUE NAMI are allowed to operate on the highway.
