OREANDA-NEWS Georgia has allowed the Russian company Azimut to operate flights since May 17, the head of the country's civil aviation agency Givi Davitashvili said.

The head of the Georgian Ministry of Economy Levan Davitashvili previously reported that on the first day of the restoration of air traffic, several Russian air carriers submitted applications for flights to the airports of Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi.

"Azimut Airline will be able to fly from May 17, it will be a charter flight," he said in an interview with Imedi TV channel.
