OREANDA-NEWS Belarusian special forces units and fighters from the Wagner PMCs will be engaged in combat training together, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus - Commander of Internal Troops Nikolai Karpenkov said on Wednesday.

"Today we are negotiating with representatives of the Wagner PMCs, who together with us will be engaged in combat training, transfer their invaluable combat experience. SOBRA and Almaz groups will continue to come here," the Sputnik news agency quotes Karpenkov.

On the night of June 24, the headquarters of the Southern Military District was captured by the forces of the Wagner PMCs in Rostov-on-Don. The seizure occurred after Yevgeny Prigozhin's statements that the Russian Armed Forces allegedly launched rocket and bomb attacks on the Wagner camps, although this was denied by both the Ministry of Defense and the FSB of Russia.

A criminal case was opened against Prigozhin on the organization of an armed rebellion. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the actions of the rebels a criminal adventure, a stab in the back of Russia and treason, which led to excessive ambitions and personal interests.
