OREANDA-NEWS Canada's ambassador to Washington, Kirsten Hillman, said that the country could fully supply the United States with uranium, including replacing supplies from Russia. She said this in an interview with ABC News.

According to her, a third of the uranium is supplied to the United States from Canada. "Some of it comes from Russia. What for? Why not get all the uranium from Canada?" — She said.

Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the United States would face "real consequences" of imposing 25 percent tariffs on Canada. He warned that the duties would limit the American side's access to critical security goods, including uranium and aluminum.
