OREANDA-NEWS  Yandex plans to launch a hub with an office and coworking in Istanbul on March 1, TASS reports, citing a source familiar with the situation.

For the first time, Yandex opened an office in Istanbul in 2011 in parallel with the launch of its search engine in Turkey. In September 2020, the company closed its representative office in Istanbul, announcing that it would work with Turkish partners from its head office in Russia. This was attributed to the company's new strategy during the pandemic.

Earlier, The Bell publication wrote that Yandex plans to launch a hub in Turkey (The Ministry of Justice considers it a foreign agent), citing sources. Currently, Yandex's foreign offices operate in Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Serbia. At the same time, according to the publication, in December the company announced that it was switching to a hybrid format of work — the removal is not completely canceled, but the employee must spend several days in the office.
