OREANDA-NEWS  The Moldovan delegation at the annual meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Skopje will call on Russia to withdraw its troops from Transnistria, the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicolae Popescu said. This is reported by "Notepad.Moldova".

He also noted that at the conference, "the Moldovan delegation will confirm its condemnation of Russia, once again make a strong call to withdraw Russian troops illegally stationed on the territory of our country and discuss the importance of a peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict."

Earlier it became known that Moldova is ready to join the European Union without Transnistria. The President of the Republic, Maya Sandu, said that after seeing the improvement in the quality of life from European integration, Tiraspol may want to follow the same path. At the same time, Sandu proposed not to allocate money to municipalities that did not vote for pro-European parties at the local government elections held in the country on November 5.
