OREANDA-NEWS NATO's intelligence activity using ships and aircraft near the Russian borders has reached its limits in recent years. This was stated to RIA Novosti by the Russian Embassy in Germany.

"In recent years, intelligence activities near our borders using NATO ships and aircraft have been rampant," the diplomatic mission said.

The embassy also noted that the number of large-scale exercises has increased many times near the Russian border. According to diplomats, these maneuvers are provocative and anti-Russian in nature.

Earlier, British Defense Minister Wes Streeting said that the North Atlantic Alliance is ready to "defend every inch of its territory" in the war against Russia. According to him, at the same time, the NATO countries have no differences with the Russian people and they do not want a war with Russia. He stressed that NATO is a defensive alliance. In addition, Streeting noted that they will continue to provide support to Ukraine.
