Kazakhstan has increased grain exports by 12.5% to 13.5 million tons since September

OREANDA-NEWS As of July 23, Kazakhstan has exported 13.5 million tons of grain since the beginning of the current agricultural year (September 2025 - August 2026), which is 12.5% more than in the same period last year (12 million tons), the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture reported.
The largest increase in supplies was recorded in the directions of Central Asia and Afghanistan.
In particular, exports to Uzbekistan increased by 37% and amounted to 5.6 million tons, to Kyrgyzstan - by 1.4 times, to 504 thousand tons, to Afghanistan - by 59%, to 2.2 million tons, to Turkmenistan - by 34%, to 210 thousand tons.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture planned to send 13 million tons of grain to foreign markets in the current agricultural year, almost maintaining the figure of the previous agricultural year.
Yesterday, the Grain Union of Kazakhstan (KSK) raised its forecast for grain exports in the current agricultural year from 13.6 million tons to 14.3 million tons (by 5%).
In 2025, Kazakhstan increased grain harvest by 2%, to 27 million tons, with a yield of 17 c/ha (in 2024, 16 c/ha).
