OREANDA-NEWS  The Polish government has decided to completely freeze gas prices for the population at the level of 2022, and there are no income criteria for citizens for such assistance. This was stated by the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland Anna Moscow, reports Reuters.

Separately, low-income families, and there are about 300 thousand of them, the state will provide support when paying gas bills. It is planned to spend 30 billion zlotys ($6.63 billion) for these purposes.

At the same time, the official stressed that there will be no tricks under which families will still have to pay more. The government will approve the bill in the coming hours, after which it will go to the parliament for a vote.

Earlier, Anna Moscow ridiculed the European Commission's proposal regarding the gas price ceiling, under which the limit was supposed to be set at three thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters. According to her, it is impossible to take seriously the idea of a limit that is several times higher than the current level.
