OREANDA-NEWS The share of the BRICS countries in the global economy exceeded a record 39% last year, which is almost 11 percentage points more than that of the G7 countries, RIA Novosti calculated according to the International Monetary Fund.
The BRICS share of global GDP increased by 0.5 percentage points last year and reached the highest 39.2% since the association's existence. At the same time, the G7's share in the global economy dropped to 28.3% for the first time, losing 0.5 percentage points over the year.
