OREANDA-NEWS The Tagansky Court of Moscow on Monday will consider four protocols on violations of Russian law by Telegram, Twitch, Likeme and Pinterest.
As reported in court, they are all charged with non-fulfillment of duties by the owner of the social network (part 2 of art. 13.50 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).
The penalty for this offense is a fine in the amount of 800 thousand to 4 million rubles.
On February 10, the press service of Roskomnadzor stated that Telegram, whose work in Russia began to be restricted in August last year, still does not comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation, and therefore the restriction of the service will continue "in order to enforce Russian legislation and ensure the protection of citizens."
In recent years, the largest Internet services - Google, Telegram, Amazon, Facebook (an information resource of an organization banned in the Russian Federation), Twitter, TikTok, Wikimedia Foundation, Twitch - have repeatedly been held accountable in Russia for non-fulfillment of duties by the owner of the social network.
Russian courts have imposed multimillion-dollar fines on companies, some of which have already been recovered.
