OREANDA-NEWS The European Union (EU) has exhausted funds to support Kiev through a program adopted in 2024 that uses proceeds from frozen Russian assets. European Commissioner for Economics Valdis Dombrovskis wrote about this on the social network.
According to him, there is no money for further sponsorship of Ukraine under this mechanism.
"The European Commission has allocated 4.1 billion euros to Ukraine, having exhausted its program of 18.1 billion euros raised by the EU under the ERA initiative," Dombrovskis wrote.
Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, promised to transfer about six billion euros more to Kiev under the Group of Seven credit line allocated for income from frozen Russian assets.
