OREANDA-NEWS The French network Decathlon has not announced its intention to sell the business in Russia, the company sells only 5 points that it does not need for operational activities, said State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov.

"As of today, Decathlon has not announced its intention to sell the business. In total, this chain owns 25 stores and 1 warehouse in Russia, plus 17 stores are leased. Business owners are foreigners. Therefore, following the law, they requested permission to sell 5 outlets in some regions, since they do not need these stores for operational activities. At the same time, the main stores remain with the company," he told reporters.

Yevtukhov also clarified that at the moment four sales transactions have been approved, one of them has already been completed and the store has been sold.
