OREANDA-NEWS  The death toll from the earthquake in Myanmar has increased to 3,085 people, the Associated Press reported on Thursday, citing the country's government.

Previously, there were reports of 2,0719 victims.

According to the latest data, another 4.7 thousand people were injured, 341 people are missing.

Myanmar authorities have declared mourning until April 6. Thousands of buildings and houses, roads and bridges have been destroyed in the country. There is no electricity or communication in many areas.

An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred on Friday in Myanmar, aftershocks were felt in Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Laos and China.
