OREANDA-NEWS  A transport-loading vehicle (TZM) from the Osa anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) has been upgraded in Belarus. This was announced by the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic in Telegram.

"As part of the work on updating the Osa air defense system, the specialists of the enterprise [2566 Electronic Weapons Repair Plant] carried out a deep modernization of the 9T217 transport and loading vehicle to the level of 9T217-1B," the report says.

The updated TZM received new lifting equipment and radio communication facilities. The crane 9T217-1B can be operated remotely. The car is based on a modern MAZ-5316 chassis with a 4x4 wheel formula. The basic charging machine of the Soviet Wasp is built on a three-axle chassis BAZ-5939.
