OREANDA-NEWS  President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky accused Russia of allegedly wanting to delay the negotiations in Switzerland, as he feared the tough position of the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky. This was reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph.

The publication pointed out that Ukrainian officials feared that Medinsky would block any progress with strict demands for surrender.

Earlier, Konstantin Blokhin, an American political scientist, explained that Medinsky's tough stance at the Geneva talks was a response to Kiev's actions.

Trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine were held behind closed doors in Geneva on February 17 and 18. On the first day, their duration was 4.5 hours, and on the second day, the parties talked for 2 hours. The head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, described his mood after the trilateral meeting with the word "good." In turn, Medinsky called the negotiations in Geneva difficult.
