OREANDA-NEWS   The United States has completed a five-hour attack on targets in Iran, using precision-guided munitions. This was announced by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) on its social network account.

"The Central Command completed another wave of strikes on Iran on July 13, at 22:15 eastern time. During the five-hour operation, American forces successfully attacked military targets throughout Iran, including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa and Bandar Abbas, further weakening Iran's capabilities," the statement said.

CENTCOM pointed out that the United States used precision-guided munitions against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and unmanned complexes, as well as offshore facilities during its attack. Additionally, it is reported that more than 50,000 American troops are currently deployed in the Middle East, ready for combat operations.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump officially notified Congress of the resumption of hostilities in Iran.
