OREANDA-NEWS  The US cease-fire with Iran is no longer in effect after the countries' attacks on each other. This was stated by the American leader Donald Trump, reports Reuters.

"For me, the agreement is no longer valid. I don't want to have anything to do with them. They are scammers, sick people," the US president replied to the relevant question.

According to Trump, continuing negotiations with Tehran is a "waste of time," so he no longer sees the point in them.

Earlier, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) announced strikes against Iran in response to attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic accused Washington of non-compliance with the memorandum of understanding, noting that over the past three weeks, the American side has repeatedly violated its terms.

Iran attacked 85 US military installations in response to American strikes.
