OREANDA-NEWS. A former employee of the Ukrainian embassy in the United States accused former president Petro Poroshenko of allegedly receiving about $ 200 million for closing a case involving Burisma, whose board member was the son of former US vice president Joseph Biden Hunter. This was reported on Monday by the Ukrainian publication Country, citing a statement by diplomat Andrei Telizhenko on the YouTube channel.

"The final amount that Mr. Poroshenko received was $ 200 million for Burisma, for closing the case", Telizhenko claims in a video released by Strana. The ex-diplomat, accusing the former head of state, said that Poroshenko in the framework of the corruption scheme in order to close the case received money from several sources owned by his associate, the former first deputy chairman of the Bloc’s faction Petro Poroshenko in the previous convocation of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Kononenko.

At the moment, neither Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party nor the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine have made any official comments on Telizhenko’s statements.
