OREANDA-NEWS Eight deaths have been recorded in connection with the disease considered incurable Marburg virus in Tanzania. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), announced this on his Facebook page.

"We can expect new cases in the coming days as surveillance of the disease improves," the WHO chief said.

In October 2024, an outbreak of the Marburg virus occurred in African Rwanda. Later, more than 140 people became victims of an unknown virus in Africa.
