OREANDA-NEWS A resident of St. Petersburg who survived the blockade handed over more than 43 million rubles to fraudsters, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported.
According to the agency, the day before, a 91-year-old resident of besieged Leningrad, who lives on Kollontai Street, contacted the Nevsky district police.
"The pensioner reported that in the period from May 19 to May 27, an unknown person called him and fraudulently convinced him to transfer 43,399,360 rubles to the courier, meeting with him on May 21 at house 4 on Iskrovsky Prospekt," the report says.
