OREANDA-NEWS  In 2025, the salary of more than 45 thousand Russians turned out to be above one million rubles, RIA Novosti found out based on Rosstat data.

The analysis of the distribution of the number of employees by salary is carried out every two years by the end of April. This study was conducted among 28.4 million people from 95.4 thousand organizations, excluding small businesses.

The number of Russians with salaries starting from one million rubles has reached 45,428, which is almost twice as many as two years earlier. Then there were 24,400 of them.

Two years ago, most of these employees were employed in trade, manufacturing, and finance.

The share of Russians with salaries above one million rubles in 2025 was 0.16 percent of the total number of employees, compared to 0.08 percent in 2023.
