A Russian man stole millions of rubles worth of electricity

OREANDA-NEWS A resident of Perm stole millions of rubles worth of electricity in the private sector. The publication drew attention to the situation with reference to the Rosseti Ural press service. Ura.ru .
The incident occurred in the neighborhood of Yazovaya Motovilikhinsky district. As a result of an inspection by law enforcement agencies, an illegal connection to the electricity grid was discovered in one of the houses: for example, the household consumed electricity without a meter and a contract, which caused damage in the amount of more than 5.7 million rubles.
"The house consumed electricity, bypassing the meter and without an electricity supply contract. The total volume of non-contractual consumption amounted to almost 600 thousand kilowatt—hours," the company's press service said. Experts noted that such a violation threatens the stability of the energy supply of the whole area. The materials on the theft were handed over to the police for further investigation. The company's specialists have started an additional check, which will help establish the possible involvement of other persons and clarify the amount of damage.
Earlier it became known that a resident of Perm stole electricity for 2.2 million rubles. The woman connected the light to the commercial premises on the ground floor of an apartment building, without concluding an agreement with the power engineers.
