OREANDA-NEWS. Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtech announced that the government allowed citizens to freely move around the country, as well as travel outside its borders.

The borders of the Czech Republic were closed both for the entry of foreigners and the departure of citizens from March 16 to combat coronavirus infection. Residents were allowed to leave their houses only to get to working place, grocery store or pharmacy.

“We decided to cancel the ban on the free movement of citizens in the Czech Republic from Friday, April 24,” Vojtech said. The authorities will also allow gathering in groups of ten people. Previously, groups of more than two people were banned.

In addition, residents of the country will be able to travel abroad. After returning to homeland, it will be necessary to present negative result of the analysis for COVID-19 or stay in two-week home quarantine, the Minister informed.
