OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2010.  Dmitry Medvedev sent a message to Acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbayeva to congratulate her on the Kyrgyz Republic’s Independence Day.

The congratulatory message reads, in part:

“The active work by the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, aimed at stabilizing the domestic and economic situation as quickly as possible, and the Kyrgyzstani people’s commitment to democratic values give us optimism about the republic’s future.

The close friendship, mutual assistance, and allied relations that have traditionally existed between Russia and Kyrgyzstan are of great help in reaching these goals. I am certain that the consistent effort to strengthen and genuinely enrich our strategic partnership serves the fundamental interests of our states, as well as the goal of ensuring stability and security in Central Asia.”
