OREANDA-NEWS  The fire area in the forestry in Gelendzhik has increased to 39 hectares, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reports.

"The fire area has reached 39 hectares. Over the past 24 hours, the aviation of the Southern Aviation Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has carried out 14 water drops from a Be-200ChS aircraft and an Mi-8 helicopter," the report says.

It is also specified that 273 specialists and 46 pieces of equipment are working on site.

Earlier it was reported that in the forestry department in the area of the village of Krinitsa (Gelendzhik), after the crash of the wreckage of the drone, a fire broke out in the forest area. Initially, the fire area was 0.3 hectares, then it grew to 19 hectares.

Due to the fire in Gelendzhik, a recreation center was evacuated, and a temporary accommodation facility was set up at the school. There was no damage or casualties.

As specified, by Friday morning, the group for extinguishing a forest fire will be increased by 200 people - up to 500 specialists. It is also planned to use two helicopters and an aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. To control the spread of fire, 95 employees will be on duty around the clock around the perimeter of the fires.
